Kim Mathers, ex-wife of Eminem, avoids jail time, sentenced to a year of probation for DUI crash


Kim Mathers, the ex-wife of rap superstar Eminem, avoided jail time in her drunk driving case


Mathers appeared on Tuesday in a Michigan courthouse where she was sentenced to a fine and probation following her suicide attempt in October 2015.

Kim Mathers, ex-wife of Eminem, was sentenced for a DUI. She must pay $900, one year probation and continue treatment.

Mathers is in treatment for substance abuse, was issued a $900 fine, a year’s probation with random alcohol and drug testing up to four times per month, the Detroit News reported


Eminem and Kim Mathers were high school sweethearts. They have a bitter divorce in 2001, but remain friendly and share custody of three children.

She avoided a trial with her guilty plea.The Grammy winner and Mathers, who divorced in 2001, have three daughters together.
